A little tribute from Viz

Nice little write-up about Kubo Tite on the American Shounen Jump site: http://shonenjump.viz.com/content/decade-bleach

I like how the article references Sensei's inspiration from music. It's a unique inspiration indeed. “I’m inspired by music rather than stories, other manga, or movies,” he says. I've been listening to the newly announced (at the Harajuku event) theme music for Gin lately. So apropos. Makes me miss Gin so: http://t.co/XCQpFE9 "I will learn to get by/ But I’ll never be like you"

I cannot name a single person not being influenced by Kurumada Masasami-sensei for Saint Seiya (Knight of the Zodiac), growing up as a child. Kubo Tite being influence by Saint Seiya isn't really shocking or surprise either.

Certain seiyuu who are recently in Bleach were part of Saint Seiya.

Hmm, they say they're gonna post more things this week. Hopefully part of the news will be the long awaited speed up!
Nice article.

Has anyone spied a translation of the new Gin theme?

Debbie linked to a Youtube video with Gin's theme song in her post ("Snake-Tongued Beast" by Saybia). It's in English. Or are you referring to something else?

If you mean lyrics, several websites have them, but I'm not sure which sites are best or accurate: http://www.google.com/search?q=saybia+snake-tongued+beast

Thank you -- I did visit the YouTube link, but I couldn't make out many of the verses. Should have written "transcription" not "translation".

Awwwww, Bleach. I will never quit you, even when you leave me heartbroken. ♥ ♥

I love that Kubo is inspired by music. I find myself often looking to music for inspiration and it's such a beautiful thing.

"When it comes to his art in general, Kubo Sensei believes that drawing is not about plotting out points and planes, but depicting moods instead. He aims to breathe life into whatever he draws, whether it’s characters or backgrounds."

Kubo, this is what makes me love and hate you at the same time.

I'm getting a little emotional here!
