A Look at Yammy
Hey everyone, I recently done something on Yammy, our favorite dumb Espada, and his aspect of death.

What did everyone think of that plot twist involving him? Is it safe to say that rage is one of the roots of all evil?

Yammy's aspect of death is wrath, not rage, at least, the name of his Zanpaku-to would imply as much. In that regard, I feel that the sin was more artfully depicted with the character of Fuhrer Bradley in FMA.

Rage is an explosion of raw anger.

Wrath is the sin of abandoning a life in pursuit of love to instead lead a life consumed by hatred.

the latter is indeed one of the roots of all evil. The former is merely a personality defect.

This was an interesting thread, though. XD

Hmm, I thought the aspect of death was translated as "rage". Yammy's Zanpaku-to name means "anger" in Spanish too.

Yeah, I do agree the Fuhrer represents the sin of wrath. He's also one of my favorite characters in anime/manga.

Thanks for reading!

This was a very interesting article! A nice analysis of a character that may only appear to be a very simple.
BUt got say, rage/wrath, whichever you call it is most certainly one of the deeper roots to evil.
I would say money and curiosity are worse though. XD

Good point. Money and curiosity are both bad in some ways.

Yeah, it's rage. Kubo didn't want to be tied down to the Seven Deadly Sins when it came to the Espada's death aspects. Pretty sure Aaroniero is the only one with an actual sin.

Yeah, he was probably the only one.
