Bleach 435 is Out
Bleach 435 is out at MangaStream.

REMINDER: Don't tweet to Kubo about the chapter until Monday. Ditto on your tweets to him using avatars from the chapter.

The sheer amount of hilarious crack in this chapter is amazing. Of course most of it's due to Riruka being Riruka (Fullbring's an ability of "love", telling Ichigo just to use Fullbring but not giving him any hints on how to do so because she doesn't know anything about that, insulting Ginjou, stuffing herself with food out of tsundere worry, etc.), as well as Mr. Pork with the yakuza guy Riruka kidnapped inside it...

Ichigo always carries about his shinigami representative badge, so he realizes that's the key to unlocking his Fullbring. Guess he's "fond" of or "in love with" his badge. XD And Chad, being Ichigo's BFF, realizes Ichigo should use it too. Chad+Ichigo <3333 Glad to know someone is concerned for Ichigo. ;__;

And, uh, Ichigo can use Fullbring? Does that mean he inherited the ability to use Fullbring via Isshin or Masaki? And if it's through Isshin, does that mean all shinigami have the ability to use Fullbring? Or just the offspring of a shinigami who was attacked by a hollow? Or just shinigami/human offspring? Or is something else giving him this ability? >_>

Mad Beast Mode. More crack next week, looks like. <3

Random thought: Inoue is a Fullbring. HAIIIIRRRRPIIIIIIINS that transform into fairies.

Sounds like Fullbring to me.

That was my thought too, this pretty much confirms that Inoue is a fullbringer. And it also makes me wonder if the hollow that may have attacked her mother was the genesis of the problems in her family.

What hollow that may have attacked her mother? The Hollow caused the alcoholism and whoring? I'm really confused...

Although the hairpins cue for FULLBRING is a biggie... and for Ishida's bracelet too.

I was just following the logic that Fullbringer = mother attacked by hollow.

I'm hesitant to say that Ishida might be a Fullbringer, but considering that the Quincy dedicated themselves to battling hollows, the ultimate irony might come from the fact that they needed hollows to continue the family line, so to speak.

Ugh, lack of an edit button and low blood sugar is making me not pay attention.

I was just posturing that an attack from a hollow - essentially an invisible force that you can't prove - would likely have a pretty negative effect on someone's life. Who knows what the results were on Orihime's mother, mental and emotional or otherwise.

But does that explain her crazy-ass resurrection power?

Who knows? Riruka's powers are essentially spatial manipulation and transmutation (she put the soul of a gangster into a stuffed animal after all). So I guess temporal manipulation isnt too much of a stretch.

It might not have to be her mother, perhaps being attacked by her brother represents it being "close" enough to become a Fullbringer.

It would be interesting. I'm just curious, whatever happened to the idea that Ichigo's reiatsu is what got Inoue and Chad to develop powers? Is that still a factor, or were they always Fullbringers, or did it make them Fullbringers? It would be interesting if it just helped things along, otherwise wouldn't EVERYONE around him have powers?

The whole "Ichigo's powers gave Chad and Inoue theirs" was a red herring. It was the Hobaby inside Rukia that responded to their wishes to not be powerless and activated latent abilities.

That's my thought too. But I wonder why she's not part of the group and Chad is, then.

O_O Now that you mention it, it's almost like she's purposely avoiding them... >_> But that's just me. I do miss seeing her in action.
pogopogo2468 on February 2nd, 2011 10:22 pm (UTC)
Yea, that's my thought as well. Orihime hasn't even mentioned her powers this arc. Ah, question is why that is.
Vayshti: bleachvayshti on February 2nd, 2011 09:56 pm (UTC)
Except that her powers are similar to Hachi's, rather than Chad's. Chad's have been described as hollow-like, which makes sense of fullbring - but I'm not sure Orihime's do.

Besides, fullbring is manipulating objects. By making them change form or moving them. How does her healing and resurrecting fit that?
