Ichi and Ishi Seiyuu Diss Orihime on the Radio! XD

Occasionally Bleach seiyuu appear on a Japanese radio program called Bleach B Station and talk very fast and say outrageous things that fandom likes to play as controversial and lo and behold we have a rip of a program I personally found enormously amusing because 1) it featured Ishida's seiyuu Noriaki Sugiyama (aka Non-tan to his fans) 2) Non-tan and Morita-kun, Ichigo's seiyuu recreated the anime omake scene where Ichigo pretended to be Ginrei Kojaku with a really deep voice and moved Ishida to tears and 3) Both Non-tan and Morita-kun had a lot of laughs, I mean A LOT OF LAUGHS at Inoue Orihime's expense because she seemed to have forgotten her powers in the final episode of the Lust arc, wasn't healing Ishida and was only repeating a certain someone's name.

Listen for yourself. Here's a rip of the radio program Bleach B Station featuring the seiyuu for Kurosaki Ichigo and Ishida Uryuu and much giggling and oh yes, Non-tan says "BAN-KAI!":

The first translation I got of the part where the boys were laughing over Inoue was from nacchan_touya  and a partial transcript from here and it went like this:

Sugiyama : when I see he being stabbed like that I was like, EEE?? (laugh)
Morita : yeah and Orihime was also an absolute mess isn't she? she has the power but it not working? even after the stabbing she still continued with her 『Kurosakikun, Kurosakikun』chant and not healing
(the staff laugh)
S : you think so right?! at that time I thought "ah Orihime's priority is already clear.."
(Morita laugh)
M : Oh crap! Uryuu is in pinch!
S : Is really .. typical Inoue-san.. (laugh)
M : right?
↑while trying to surpress his laughter
S : I was like "Hey, a little help here..?" (laugh)

The second translation I got was from mezzo_marinaio  who heard the audio as well as read the transcript and she wrote the following:

They speak truly, TRULY fast, and it's all muffled up and interspersed by laughing! >_<

I can tell that the script posted in that entry isn't completely correct - it's just what the blogger him/herself could remember and make out of the dialogue, I think? It lacks a few parts, and I honestly cannot make them out myself. ;_;

I did the best that I could with what we already had, though - and most of it seemed to check out, in my opinion. Though some of the words, eeeeh... let's just say that I'll have to take the blogger's word for them. XD

From about 11:45 to 12:18:

(Sugiyama-san: "Even though he blew a hole through his body and said it was the finishing blow, eeeeeehhh...")

Morita and Sugiyama say something else, Sugiyama mentions (Ichigo?) getting pierced.

(Morita-san: "And Orihime, she was also really blowing her fuse, wasn't she? 'Kurosaki-kun, Kurosaki-kun'... really, you have the power, it's not like you can heal him? Even after the stabbing! She kept saying 'Kurosaki-kun, Kurosaki-kun' and not healing...")

(The surrounding staff roars in laughter)

ama-san: "Exactly! At that time, it was pretty clear what the priority inside Orihime was...")

(Morita-san gives a great roar of laughter)

(Morita-san: "Oh, no! Uryuu's in a pinch!")

(Sugiyama-san: "I-it's very... typical of Inoue-san..." (laughing))

(Morita-san: "Isn't it?")

ちょっと笑いを含んでいる感じで (trying to suppress their laughter)

(Sugiyama-san: "I was like... here, please, a little help...?" (laughing))

and because I know you all love your Japanese lessons when asked
I know originally we thought that Morita said 'Orihime was a mess' so I'm wondering if that's the part which you translated as 'blowing her fuse' or if he just didn't say it. (He certainly implied it.), Mezzo responded:

Oh, I'm not even gonna pretend to know exactly what he meant by てんぱっちゃてる! XDDD

Grammatically speaking, the sentence sounds like this:

織 姫 も (Orihime too)

結構 (pretty, quite)

てんぱっちゃてる (this is the non-past, progressive form of てんぱる. The っちゃ in the middle of the verb gives the sentence a nuance of 'unfortunately', indicating that the speaker feels like the action has taken place with unsatisfactory results, or that he feels regret at it having taken place. Since I didn't know the meaning of this verb, I looked it up, and found
THIS and THIS. So, I guess it could be translated either as 'to be blowing a fuse', 'to be panicking' or 'to be up to the chin')

じゃない?(wasn't she?)

I thought 'And Orihime, she was also really blowing her fuse, wasn't she?' worked nicely. :) Though, well, I guess it should actually be 'be blowing A fuse'. XD

The 'she was a mess' part was probably Nacchan's attempt to render this verb. :)

Also, YET ANOTHER bit of the transcript from here a blog by an IshiHime artist who like a lot of Ishida fans is hoping Sensei will have Orihime apologize to Ishida on her knees (and lol at one of the comments on the page:

「大丈夫、黒崎は…勝つよ」ぶわ!!!。・゚(T◇T゚)゚・。 いしだああああああああああああああああ あああああああああああああ
"don't worry, Kurosaki will... win" GUHAKK *bloodvomits* (T◇T゚)゚ishidaaaaaaa )

Sugiyama voiceover : 「Inoue-saaan.... I need treatment here... 」

M : Ishida is being cured right now right? or..

S : I also wonder if he's being healed... "I want him to be healed~" it sure give us all that kind of feeling don't you think?

M : so you think the chance of him being ignored is big?!

S : 【BIG】.. I think

M : (speechless) ..... we..well then let's appeal the people to realize that! heey he's here!! he needs help here~ ヾ(´ρ`)ノ゛

S : you're the main character you know? (strangled laugh)

I suppose if I had less faith in Kubo-sensei I would be less amused by the fact that Orihime seems to be so blatantly ignoring Ishida to the point that it's a joke among the seiyuu and a point of despair among IshiHime fans in Japan, but knowing what a sadist Sensei is, I believe he knows full well what he's doing. Ishida was the shining faultless hero of the Lust arc, the only one on the Dome who didn't do anything wrong (well, some will argue that his caving in to Orihime's request to be Quincy-surf-boarded up there for a princess eye's view of the battle wasn't too smart) and he was the moral compass and voice for humanity yadda yadda in that little tale. So naturally it's maddening when Orihime takes Ishida at his word that some medicines he packed in his trusty cape are taking care of his pain and bleeding so she doesn't bother to heal his severed hand or impaled torso while having plenty of time to repeat "Kurosaki-kun" or crouch next to Ishida during the length of the Ulqui-Ichigo battle.... yeah, I can see why Non-tan and Morita-kun were laughing. I suppose I have to laugh too--or as an Ishida fan, I'd be crying.

Orihime just looks SO BAD here. And this little short-sightedness of hers is long overdue a resolution. Unlike uni-uni the blogger linked above though, I really don't think we'll see a verbal apology from Orihime. I believe that in Kubo's story actions always speak louder than words. Orihime's always been one to say one thing ("the next time I see you, Kurosaki-kun, I will not look at your back") and do another. One day, one panel, she's just going to ACT. Her heart and her act will be pure--and there will be no need for words. We saw a glimpse of that in her gesture towards Ulquiorra. In reaching for him, I believe she was reaching for her better self.

And yeah, that's all I've got to say about that. Let the Orihime song that never ends go on. Only Sensei will sign the FIN on this one.
