Image help!
Hi, I have a graphic request - does anyone have a good quality big version of the 11th division logo? I'm trying to make a tshirt but I can't find a the logo to print. I need the diamond one with the number 11 and the insignia - black diamond shape one with the stars on it hopefully. I haven't been able to find it anywhere online, though.

and this one http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20080628015202/bleach/en/images/1/16/Eleventh_Division.png

I don't want to have to resort to painting one TT____TT Someone help me please?

The easiest way is to redraw the logo with vectors in Illustrator, that way you can make it as big as you wish. Unfortunatly I don't have time today. Maybe in a couple of days, if you still haven't found a better version :)

Mmm, give me a minute and I can put together a vector for you. At what size are you planning to print out the graphics?

Uh, I'm not sure about the size, I did print out a tshirt last time and it was something like .... 1000 x 1000 +?

How do you make vectors? I've been curious about that.

I forget the pixel dimensions for A4 size but it's something like that (1000+ px too)

Here you go (I just did letter size at 200dpi):

RE: vectors. mikados already described the gist of it - you just have to redraw the images in a program like Illustrator or with Photoshop's pen tool. It's really quite easy with solid shapes like logos once you get the hang of it, and you get infinitely scalable assets out of it. You can also put images through a vectorizer (such as Illustrator's autotrace), but the result is never as clean as a manual redrawing.

THANK YOU SO MUCH TT____TT orz I've never used Illustrator before, don't think I have it, but I have photoshop though. thanks for the advice and the vector <333

No problem! I'd love to see a pic of the shirt when you do get it done. Always cool to see fans making their own Bleach-related clothing. =]

And there are plenty of tutorials for using the pen tool in PS online that'll have you vectoring in no time - have fun. ;)

Thanks! Just curious, which reference did you use for this?
ExMachinar4r3truffle on April 5th, 2010 08:41 pm (UTC)
Just the images you linked to in the original post. The only thing I couldn't see clearly enough to trace directly was the kanji for one in the division logo - since I was working pretty zoomed in, I might have over exaggerated the downward curve at the end of the stroke. ^^;

Also hoping you can help with just one more thing, if it's too much trouble then nevermind but for the 11th Division sign - characters 十 in calligraphy style the vertical stroke has to taper out a bit, and the 一 is just the same thing without the vertical stroke

something like this

I'm still trying to figure out how to vector this image for the emblem but confusing! otherwise my calligraphy teacher will be annoyed at my tshirt, haha.

Ah, I knew I should have actually looked up some proper calligraphy as reference instead of just using that first screenshot you posted. ^^; Here's a version with the taper and less tilt on the horizontal stroke of the 10 kanji, and I just copy and pasted it for the 1.

Thank you so much! Is there anything I can do in return? Write you something with your favourite pairing maybe?
