A Case of Mental Sadism - Changing Bonds With Shukuro Tsukishima
Hey guys, I just wanted to share an entry I wrote on our favorite emotional abuser, Shukuro Tsukishima.

It's at: http://www.mangatherapy.com/post/13921888107/shukuro-tsukishima-bleach

What did everyone think of Tsukishima honestly? I know some people were like he's a poorly-written Mary Sue type character while others find him pretty cool.

Book of the End is probably one of the most super-cheap abilities I've ever seen, but does anyone think we've seen the last of him?

personally, i think that tsukishima is.... i honestly don't know whatr to make of him. the best i can think of is that he's an aizen clone, and not a very good one at that. his powers have the potential to be as sadistic as aizen's, and they're very similar in style, both creating illusions to emotionally abuse their enemies. the main difference is that tsukishima's power is purely mental, meaning that it's harder to break, while aizen's was physical, meaning it could be used beyond simple mind games.

the reason why i say that he's a bad clone is simply because, while aizen fully abused his power, being able to do severe mental damage via his intelligence in employing his illusions, tsukishima can't really do any physical damage with his abilities. tsukishima's illusions are all in the mind, and, although when used properly it could be just as, if not more devastating than aizen's, the problem is that tsukishima just hasn't really abused his powers yet. if tsukishima were more potent, then he would be a severe threat. but he doesn't use his powers to as large of an extent as he could. he's simply the wrong character to have been handed such a power. that's all there is to it.

Hmmm, I do remember Ginjou yelling at Tsukishima to not abuse his ability when Tsukishima tried to mess with Chad & Orihime even more.

Also, Ginjou did say that Tsukishima enjoys mentally torturing his victims. Of course, this was when he was under the effect of Book of the End.

I think another problem is that we haven't seen any past flashbacks where he may have abused his power.

All we know is that he's at least a Captain-level fighter.

that is not wat i meant by abuse.

now, that i can believe. whether he's any good at it or not is another question entirely

yes. if i saw tsukishima completely beasting his enemies using JUST his fullbring power, then i would be able to say that he's an aizen clone. but until i see him annihilating something ridiculously overpowered, he's going to stay as a BAD aizen clone

it looked like he lost to byakuya pretty easily. maybe my standards are just too high... *shrugs

I found that fight to be interesting since it showcased what Book of the End could do during a real fight.

But, alas, Byakuya couldn't lose since this is a guy who went against the Cero Espada (though he wasn't all that great) and beat him badly with Kenpachi.

I think more Tsukishima appearances will happen when Ginjou has his own flashback.
